Warranty

1. With effect from January 1st 2014, Hill Billy Spain (‘VAVAAL 749 S.L.’) of Avda Marques Del Duero, Cancelada, Málaga, Spain, provides to the purchaser of any new Hill Billy product (the ‘Product’) in Spain or Portugal a Manufacturer’s Limited Guarantee against inherent defects for the period, and on the exclusions and conditions, set out hereafter:
   1. The guarantee is subject to the following exclusions:
      1. Accidental damage, customer misuse or neglect
      2. Abnormal wear and tear
      3. Rental or other commercial use
      4. Unauthorised modification to the Product
      5. Faulty repairs by consumer or unauthorised agent
      6. Failure to follow battery charging instructions, including discharging a battery to lower than 8 volts.
   2. The following conditions apply:
      1. In respect of the ‘5-Year Pro-Rata Warranty’ on Plug’n’Play ^(TM) Lithium Batteries, the battery is covered by a 24 month standard warranty from the date of purchase.  In addition to this standard warranty, Hill Billy now offer a 5-year Pro-Rata limited warranty on the battery.  If your product should fail during the 3rd year of ownership Hill Billy will offer you a brand new replacement for 50% of the listed purchase price of the product.  In year 4, a brand new replacement can be purchased for a 30% discount off the listed purchase price and, in year 5, for a 15% discount off the listed purchase price.  This transaction must be transacted directly with Hill Billy.  Any Plug’n’Play ^(TM)battery purchased under this scheme will come with a new ‘5-Year Pro-Rata Warranty’.
      2. Hill Billy’s standard warranty scheme covers manufacturing defects that occur through normal use.  Any breakage caused by accidental damage or as a result of abuse and misuse or commercial use is not covered.
      3. Hill Billy reserves the right to inspect or test any Product claimed to be defective
      4. The period of guarantee commences on the date of purchase of the Product.
      5. Any repairs or replacements made without charge do not carry a new warranty beyond that of the original purchase.
      6. The guarantee is non-transferable and is only available to residents of Spain and Portugal.
      7. In the event of a warranty claim in respect of an Electric Golf Trolley or Battery the consumer should in the first instance contact Hill Billy directly.
   3. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights.
